Neuchâteloise clock - Wood, Bronze - 1780-182

Important and scenographic wall cart French in Louis XV style, dating to the second half of the eighteenth century, complete with the original shelf.
The case, in finely shaped wood, features a refined turquoise lacquer with hand-painted floral decorations and is enriched by rich gilt bronze appliqués in a rococo taste. At the lower part a refined lyre stands out, symbol of the arts and music, while the upper crown completes the elegant silhouette of the clock.
The white enamel dial is decorated with Roman numerals for the hours and outer Arabic minute markers, accompanied by elegant pierced hands. The clock mounts an original French mechanical movement with pendulum and striking mechanism.
The specimen is functional, but requires adjustment and ordinary servicing to achieve optimal operation, as is normal to expect for a clock of this age.

Conditions
Good general conservation state, with normal wear and patina consistent with age. Signs of time, slight abrasions and period restorations compatible with over two centuries of history. Movement complete, working but to be regulated. The photographs are an integral part of the description. Partially restored.
