The Akai CS-F9 is a high-quality cassette deck from around 1981 and belongs to the better models in Akai's classic CS series. The deck features a solid 2-motor transport, soft-touch logic operation, Dolby B noise reduction and clear LED level meters. Thanks to support for Normal, CrO₂ and Metal cassettes, the CS-F9 delivers excellent recording and playback performance.
This unit is in nice vintage condition with normal signs of wear appropriate to its age. The illumination, meters and counter function as shown in the photos. What you see is what you get. Please study the photos carefully; they are part of the description and give a clear picture of the condition of the device.
Year of manufacture: circa 1981. Frequency response: 20 Hz – 18,000 Hz (Metal tape). Signal-to-noise ratio: about 66 dB with Dolby B. Wow & Flutter: about 0.05% WRMS. Supports Normal, CrO₂ and Metal cassettes and features Dolby B Noise Reduction, digital tape counter, front microphone inputs and electronic LED output level meters.
Pickup is preferred, but shipping is of course possible. The cassette deck is carefully packed so it arrives safely.
