Akai - CS-M4 Audio-cassette deck

For sale: an Akai CS-M4 stereo cassette deck from the early 80s. This Japan-built deck features a wear-resistant Sendust recording/playback head, Dolby B noise reduction, support for normal, chrome, and metal tapes, an electronic LED level meter, microphone inputs with separate recording level control, a headphone jack and a timer start function for automatic recording or playback. The frequency response is 30 Hz to 18 kHz with metal tape, wow & flutter only 0.05% WRMS, and the signal-to-noise ratio reaches up to about 69 dB with Dolby B. The dimensions are 440 × 143 × 250 mm and the weight is about 5 kg.

This unit is in nice used condition and functions well. All functions respond as intended, the illumination and LED level meter work, and the deck plays and records. The multi-voltage version (110/120/220/240 V) also makes it suitable for use in different countries.
