French crystal knife rests (porte-couteaux), primarily by Saint Louis, Baccarat and complemented by several examples unidentified French crystal models.
Dating predominantly from the early 20th century, with many pieces produced before the introduction of acid-etched signatures (pre-1936), this collection showcases the remarkable craftsmanship and variety of French crystal production. Each knife rest features its own distinctive form, from refined geometric designs to richly molded decorative patterns, making the group appealing to both collectors and tableware enthusiasts.
The collection is presented in good vintage condition. As expected for authentic tableware that was intended for use, some pieces display minor chips or signs of age, which are entirely consistent with their history and should be regarded as normal traces of time rather than defects.
