English Mahogany Canterbury with Double Drop-Leaf Table – Mid-20th Century
Elegant English mahogany Canterbury featuring a practical double drop-leaf table raised on turned supports above a spacious magazine compartment. This versatile piece combines the functionality of a magazine rack with an occasional table, making it ideal for use beside a sofa or armchair.
The folding leaves are covered in attractive green tooled leather with gilt borders, providing a refined writing or display surface when fully opened. The Canterbury is raised on finely turned supports united by a turned stretcher and stands on shaped trestle feet, reflecting the timeless elegance of traditional English furniture inspired by the Georgian and Regency periods.
