Description from the seller
Elegant and spacious 71-piece vintage cutlery service from the prestigious Italian manufacture Sambonet, made in a silver-plated alloy and characterized by a refined classic decor inspired by the Louis XV/baroque tradition.
The service features gracefully contoured handles, outlined by fine ribbing and enriched at the ends with ornamental motifs of volutes and shells.
The various elements bear the Sambonet marks; on the blades of the knives the marking “Sambonet – Anticor – Italy” is also visible.
Particularly interesting is the presence of the original Sambonet packaging and the original sheet with the “Norme d'uso e di manutenzione – Posateria in lega argentata,” an item that further documents provenance and material of the service.
The lot includes numerous table and dessert/fruit cutlery: forks of different sizes, table and fruit knives, spoons, teaspoons and other elements, as extensively documented in the photographs.
Italian production of the second half of the 20th century, roughly the 60s-80s.
The cutlery presents themselves in overall good vintage condition, with normal signs of wear and use, light oxidations, halos and small superficial scratches compatible with age and material. The original box shows evident signs of storage and wear along the edges, as visible in the photographs.
