Description from the seller
Published by Sokyu-sha in 2005, Takuno is a deeply personal photobook by Daido Moriyama.
Takuno, a small village in Shimane Prefecture, is where Moriyama spent periods of his childhood and adolescence. Returning to this landscape many years later, he photographed the sea, mountains, streets and everyday surroundings that remained deeply connected to his memories.
The book contains 22 photographs printed in duotone, presenting a quieter and more introspective side of Moriyama’s work. Rather than the intense urban imagery for which he is best known, Takuno explores memory, place and the landscapes of his youth.
First edition, published in an edition of 1,500 copies.
CONDITION
Slipcase with small dents. The book itself is in very good condition.
