Description from the seller

Sony ICF-2001D – A well-functioning legendary multiband receiver
Unblemished: no dents or scratches, some signs of use, see some dark spots
Made in Japan 1986
The Sony ICF-2001D is a dual-conversion portable multiband receiver and remains one of the most respected portable world receivers ever produced, still an exceptionally capable receiver for shortwave, mediumwave, longwave, FM, and VHF airband reception.
There are countless descriptions and videos of this radio on the internet.
Why is this radio so legendary?
The ICF-2001D excels in its outstanding sensitivity on the built‑in telescopic antenna. Even without sophisticated external antennas, the radio pulls extremely weak signals from the ether. The synchronous detector on this specific model is still regarded by enthusiasts as superior, often outperforming many modern digital world receivers.

* Frequency range: 150–26,100 kHz
* FM band: 87.5–108 MHz
* VHF air band: 116–136 MHz
* Receive modes: AM, SSB (USB/LSB)
* Digital frequency display
* Direct frequency input with the numeric keypad
* 32 frequency memory locations
* Built-in digital clock and timer
* Display illumination is very good, all photos were taken with battery power.
* Radio power: 3 × D batteries (not included due to heat/leak risk) or adapter included
* Memory, clock and microprocessor backup: 2 × AA batteries, included
* Weight: approx. 3 kg in secure packaging with accessories
Comes with a nice Sony adjustable carrying strap, with printed manual in English (also available in other languages on the internet) batteries for clock and memory functions + Sony adapter 3V-4.5V
