Scapolite crystal on a white matrix from Pakistan, 142 g, dimensions 6.5 × 5 × 5.5 cm, with a violet-lilac scapolite crystal rising from the matrix and green diopside crystals on one side.
Description from the seller
Purple scapolite with probable diopside on matrix – Pakistan
Specimen of scapolite from Pakistan, characterized by a well-developed purple crystal that clearly emerges from the white matrix. The crystal displays a delicate lilac-violet coloration, with partially translucent areas and surfaces that allow appreciation of its morphology.
On the matrix there are numerous green crystals, most likely attributable to diopside, distributed mainly on one side of the specimen. The contrast between the scapolite’s purple, the associated green crystals, and the white matrix makes the specimen particularly pleasing and easy to study.
The white matrix, which shows no reaction to muriatic acid, is probably composed predominantly of quartz. The sample features natural, irregular growth and is interesting also for the association and chromatic contrast between the different mineralizations.
Origin: Pakistan
Weight: 142 g
Dimensions: 6.5 x 5 x 5.5 cm
