Tabriz Mahi Rug – India, c. 1950–1960

Elegant Tabriz Mahi rug, woven in India in the mid-20th century.

Made 100% by hand, with high-quality wool on a cotton backing. The weave is very tight, compact and heavy, reflecting excellent workmanship. The wool has a lovely silky sheen.

It is in very good condition, with no tears, no fraying, and no structural damage. Only needs a light cleaning to refresh it; it has no stains.
