Sony - TC 510-2 Portable tape recorder

I’m offering here a rare portable Sony tape recorder. It comes without the battery or battery pack, but a custom/ self-modified AC adapter is included. Playback works, but, as with almost all devices in this series, recording does not. On the rotary switch, as with almost all devices, a plastic piece has broken off. When connected via RCA cables to a stereo system, the sound is very good. The reels are not part of the auction. The device shows wear consistent with its age. The plastic cover could be improved with professional polishing. The device will be securely packed and shipped.
