Description from the seller
Beautiful, original Swedish pendant lamp Granhaga Metallindustri, designed by Carl Thore.
It is a characteristic example of mid-century Nordic design, with a striking combination of deep red, gold-toned metal, and white.
The layered, sculptural construction gives the lamp a strong, architectural form. The wide red shade is paired with a golden ring and a white, concentric grille at the bottom, which creates an interesting light effect and emphasizes the geometric character of the design.
The lamp retains the original Granhaga / Design Carl Thore label.
The lamp has Swedish electrical wiring and a small original Swedish two-pin plug marked 6A 250V. The lamp has not been electrically altered, repainted, or refurbished.
The red finish remains glossy and very visually appealing. Normal, minor signs of age and use are visible. On the lower edge of the shade there are three small, shallow edge irregularities. They are subtle and do not disrupt the overall form or perception of the lamp. The most noticeable areas are shown separately in the photos.
This is a highly decorative and authentic example of original Scandinavian design, distinguished by a bold combination of red, gold, and white and an elegant sculptural form.
Condition: very good, original vintage condition. Small signs of age and use and minor irregularities on the lower edge. Original finish, label, and Swedish electrical components. No renovations, repainting, or alterations.
