Description from the seller
Antique Italian manual coffee grinder F.B., dating presumably to the first half of the 20th century.
Built with a wooden body and metal mechanical parts, it features the classic box-like structure with a front drawer for collecting coffee, a metal hopper on top, and a wooden-knobbed crank handle.
On the front the old original F.B. label is still present, although partially deteriorated by time. The internal grinding mechanism is present.
The object remains in original, unrestored condition and retains a marked patina of time. There are oxidations on the metal parts, wear to the wood, and numerous small holes attributable to previous woodworm infestations, as clearly documented in the photographs.
No invasive restoration interventions have been carried out, in order to preserve its appearance and original characteristics.
Interesting collectible item tied to the Italian domestic coffee tradition, also suitable as a vintage decor element or for a collection of antique kitchen utensils.
Period attributed: first half of the 20th century.
Country of origin: Italy.
Materials: wood and metal.
Conditions: used, with evident signs of time, patina, oxidations and worm holes.
Note: dating is attributed based on the constructive and typological characteristics of the object.
