Description from the seller
Elegant centerpiece with a circular, Portuguese silver lid of 833‰, richly decorated with raised motifs of flowers and foliage, revealing the quality and care of traditional Portuguese silversmithing.
The base features the Eagle (1938-1984) contrast for 833‰ silver, while the lid carries the Boar (1887-1937) contrast, likewise for 833‰ silver, indicating that it is a lid adapted from an older piece, perfectly integrated into the set.
The interior is gilded (vermeil), a typical feature of pieces of this type intended for sugar, candies, or other delicacies.
The decoration, executed by hand, presents flowers, roses, and foliage in high relief of excellent definition, giving it an elegant and timeless appearance.
In very good overall condition, showing only slight signs of use compatible with the piece’s age. Please study the photographs carefully, which form an integral part of the description.
