Description from the seller
Ghaznavid Glass Vase
A squat glass flacon with thick, translucent glass resting on a convex base, featuring a long straight neck that narrows at the base.
The shoulder has two rows of peripheral indentations forming ear-like features, made with pliers while the glass was still hot.
The vase is nicely iridescent. The iridescence results from the oxidation of the glass over the centuries.
Mamluk Dynasty, Ghaznavid Empire, 8th–10th century CE.
Height 7.6 cm - diameter 5.7 cm - In perfect condition - no restoration
