Pair of large Art Nouveau gilded bronze candlesticks, circa 1850–1900, finely chiselled with two seated fairy figures in a foliate and floral openwork, with tripodal bases and an antique patina, made in France, 30 cm high and 18 cm wide, total weight 4.5 kg.

Elegant pair of large gilded bronze Art Nouveau candle holders finely chiselled depicting two young fairies seated in an openwork setting of stylized foliage and flowers.
The tripodal bases richly decorated rest on undulating feet typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic.
The casting work is particularly refined, with great delicacy in the treatment of faces, hair and leafy motifs.
The overall piece shows a beautiful old patina and retains all its decorative character.
France circa 1900.
Good general condition with slight signs of use and aging compatible with the age; see photos, they are an integral part of the description.
