Description from the seller
LOT 1 OF 5 (4 CHAIRS) CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE CHAIRS OF THE SAME KIND.
Shipping discount for multiple purchases to be agreed with the buyer based on the destination of the goods.
4 Kartell chairs model 4875 in green plastic dating from the Italian Space Age period.
The chairs are in good vintage condition albeit with some signs of wear, use and scratches. They still have the original anti-slip caps under the legs (see the penultimate photo).
The marks are visible in backlight and difficult to show in photos (which are an integral part of the description).
The major defects have been highlighted with dedicated photos, THEY DO NOT show signs of discoloration.
Stamped under the seat to confirm authenticity (see the last photos).
3 of the 4 chairs have two small holes on the back on the left side as shown in the photo, but this does not compromise usability or aesthetic beauty.
Designed by Carlo Bartoli, Italian architect and designer born in Milan in 1931 and recipient of the Compasso d'Oro ADI for a long career
Bartoli was the creator of many successful works, including the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Milan Triennale.
CAD chair dimensions: width 44cm, depth 48cm, height 72cm, seat height 43cm
For practicality and safety, they will be shipped with legs disassembled. They can be screwed and unscrewed by hand without tools.
They will be well packed. Tracked shipping. Extra-EU customs duties payable by the buyer.
N.B.: after purchase, Italian buyers will be asked for their tax code for invoicing, via Catawiki messaging.
