Description from the seller
Fossil sacrum of a woolly mammoth - Mammuthus primigenius
Sacrum of a mammoth
Very beautiful sacrum, in good condition
The sacrum consists of three fused vertebrae of a woolly mammoth
These kinds of items are rarely offered, because they are often damaged or incomplete
These pieces have been desalinated and are still in clean water, everyone conserves them in their own way, I am happy to leave that to the next owner
Doggerland no longer exists, but traces of it can still be found on the beaches of the North Sea. It happens regularly that walkers, enthusiasts and researchers find something special there
Wonderous treasures such as a mammoth tooth. Even in dredged sand flats and in fishing nets bones are brought to the surface, as with this one in late 2024
