Description from the seller
Rare complete Paillard Bolex H16 16 mm set with numerous original accessories – Switzerland – 1950s/60s
Offered for sale, an original ensemble around a Paillard Bolex H16, one of the most iconic 16 mm cameras ever produced. Made in Switzerland, the H16 is renowned for its build quality, precision mechanics, and its importance in the history of amateur and professional cinema.
The lot is particularly interesting due to the presence of many era-appropriate accessories kept together, which is increasingly rare.
The lot includes
* Paillard Bolex H16 camera.
* Three C-mount lenses.
* Zeiss Ikon Ikophot light meter with its original case.
* Leather compartmental carrying case.
* Kodak 16 mm metal reel.
* Kodachrome II box with its original manual.
* Old Kodak film present on the reel (offered only as a collectible accessory, with no warranty of usability).
* Several optical filters.
* Various lens caps and protectors.
* Sunshade / Kodak accessories.
* Viewfinder frames and accessories.
* Era-appropriate documentation and accessories visible in the photographs.
The 3 lenses:
1. PIZAR AR 26mm f/1.9 No. 210537
2. SOM BERTHIOT PARIS CINOR 17-85mm f/1.9
3. STEINHEIL MÜNCHEN CASSAR 75mm f/3.5 No. 920786
Condition
The camera shows a nice cosmetic condition for its age with normal signs of use.
The mechanical controls (levers, dials, wind mechanism and external controls) appear to operate normally when handled manually.
However, the camera is sold untested with film.
The three lenses show internal haze as well as marks on the glass (likely fungus, separation or deposits related to age). They are sold as-is and will probably require servicing. The viewfinder also shows haze. The set is sold untested and as-is. The set is mainly intended for restoration, refurbishment, or collection.
The full operation of the shutter and mechanism with film has not been verified. The camera is therefore sold as untested.
The set is sold exactly as shown in the photographs.
Dimensions: approximately 40 × 28 × 22 cm.
Shipping method: carefully protected parcel with tracking and insurance appropriate to the final value.
