Elaborate twisted column with a capital in precious walnut wood, dating from the first half of the 20th century.

Coming from a Florentine noble villa in Tuscany.
The twisted column, also known as Salomonic, is a spiraled column, i.e., twisted into spirals along the vertical axis.
This column features various carvings that confer great charm, and furthermore it is carved from a single piece of wood. Perfect as a decorative element in a refined setting, for placing an important object or a plant on its base.

In overall good condition, it shows normal signs of age (see photos).
