This Victorian dressing-table mirror has recently been restored and is therefore a pleasure to use as well as to look at. The restorer has found an almost identical second knob. The type of wood used is not clear, other than that it is hardwood. The mirror is rotatable. It has a sturdy, nicely formed base on ball feet. The back panel can be slid out in case the mirror needs to be replaced.

Deze Victoriaanse tafelkapspiegel is onlangs gerestaureerd en dus weer een lust om in maar ook naar te kijken. De restaurateur heeft er een bijna identieke tweede knop bij gevonden. Welke houtsoort is gebruikt is niet duidelijk, behalve dat het hardhout is. De spiegel is draaibaar. Heeft een stevige fraai gevormde basis op bolpootjes. De achterwand is eruit te schuiven voor het geval de spiegel vervangen moet worden.

An antique Victorian cap mirror dating from 1850-1900, made of wood in brown, with a 40 cm diameter, external dimensions of 50 cm high and 42 cm wide, 24 cm deep, a swivelling mirror on a solid base with bun feet, and a removable back panel for mirror replacement, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.
