Figural table clock – Swiss made luxury desk clock from Record Watch Co.
An exceptional and highly collectible Swiss-made luxury desk/cabinet clock from the famous manufacturer Record Watch Co., dating back to circa 1920s – 1940s. This rate timepiece combines fine European bronze art with precise Swiss horological engineering.
Design: the clock features a beautifully cast and finely detailed knight in full armour, holding a shield and a mace. The knight stands proudly atop a heavy bronze circular base which houses the mechanical movement. The bronze has preserved its magnificent authentic patina, showcasing the exquisite details of armour and weaponry.
Brand: Record Watch Co (Switzerland).
Dial: original dial with classic Roman numerals, signed with the prestigious ‘Record’ logo.
Winding system: rare and highly sought-after Bezel-Wind system. The clock in metal bezel around the dial glass, completely eliminating the need for a key and preserving the clock aesthetics of the bronze base. This engineering design was preserved for high-end automotive aviation and elite desktop instruments in the era.
