Realistic Radio Shack - DX 302 Radio

Offered is a Realistic DX-302 HF/shortwave receiver, an interesting vintage communications receiver for collectors, amateur radio operators and enthusiasts of classic radio equipment.

The DX-302 is a special receiver from the era of analogue communications receivers and is designed to receive HF/shortwave signals. The device includes reception of AM, SSB and CW and is thus suitable for listening to various shortwave and amateur radio signals.

Condition and operation

The receiver is in used vintage condition, with normal signs of wear appropriate to its age. The controls operate perfectly, no defects on the knobs.

Reception has only been limitedly tested with the currently available standard antenna. There was little to no reception observed.

Because there was no suitable external HF antenna available for an extensive reception test, it cannot be said with certainty whether this is solely caused by the antenna used.

There is therefore a possibility that the RF preamplifier (RF amplifier) or another component in the reception section may require attention. This has not been determined and cannot be said with certainty based on the limited test.

A buyer should therefore be aware that the receiver may require technical maintenance or repairs. The DX-302 is offered in its current, tested state and without any guarantee of full reception operation.
