Silver tea and sugar spoons (also known as theeduims) with a twisted (spiraled) stem and a finial in the shape of a leaf motif. Function: Traditionally used to scoop loose tea from a tea caddy or to dose sugar at table. Characteristics: Made of silver (often 835/1000 fineness), featuring a hand-engraved scoop bowl and a spiral-shaped handle. Dating: Much of this type of Dutch silver flatware dates from the late 19th century or the first half of the 20th century (ca. 1880–1940).
