A unique Moorish wooden side table with artistic cutouts and delicate carvings in the Moorish style, whose origin lies in North Africa or the Middle East. In the past, the table was often used for small items or—with a light source.
The arched cutout is a charming nod to the Mihrab, while the intricate star stands for blessing, protection, and harmony—a symbol of spiritual depth.
Because in Islamic art light signifies purity and divine guidance, a candle table with such a niche was not only a light source but a symbol meant to illuminate the space and remind of spiritual presence.

Dimensions/Weight
This rare piece stands 46.5 cm tall, with a top length of 35 cm and a top width of 36 cm. The inlay measures 3.5 cm in height and the weight is approximately 1.1 kg.

Condition:
This is an older piece that has been restored inside with old nails. There is a crack and a glue seam on the top panel, as well as signs of woodworm infestation inside the cabinet body. The door can be opened, but it closes with some resistance, as the wood has warped.
