Loetz green Art Nouveau hand-blown glass vase, Austria, circa 1900–1905, with iridescent Creta/Glatt finish and bronze-coloured raised teardrop decorations; approximately H 14.5 cm, W 14 cm, D 14 cm; excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.

Loetz Art Nouveau Hand-Blown Glass Vase, c. 1900–1905
A stunning Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) vase by Johann Loetz Witwe circa 1900–1905.
The body features a deep green iridescent Creta/Glatt finish with shimmering blue, purple and gold tones. Applied raised bronze-colored glass teardrops or “tadpoles” decorate the body, flowing into stylized ribs on the pedestal base. An excellent example of Loetz’s organic, nature-inspired Art Nouveau designs.
Condition: Very Good with minor signs of wear consistent with age and previous use. The dot/s visible in the glass are enclosed bubbles resulting from the hand-blown manufacturing process. Please see the last two photos for details.
