Description from the seller

Napoleon III folding side table - 19th century:

Elegant folding side table from the Napoleon III era (19th century), featuring a rectangular top whose center bears a magnificent floral marquetry. This fresco consists of inlays of light woods and mahogany on a blackened wood background, executed with great finesse.

The black-veneered wooden pedestal rests on two pairs of turned and moulded feet, crossed in an X shape, joined by a crossbar. This retractable mechanism allows the table to fold up with ease, offering practical modularity that does not detract from its decorative refinement.

A true decorative chameleon, it will elegantly fit in both a contemporary interior and in a more classical setting.

Dimensions: Top 74 x 48 x 2 cm
Height of the legs: 79 to 80 cm
Weight: approximately 5.2 kg.

This table is sold in its original, authentic condition: the marquetry shows some losses and lifts (veneer peeled in places), the varnish is worn in places, and the leg sliding mechanism would benefit from a light oiling to smooth its movement.

Beyond its small signs of time, which bear witness to its history, the table remains perfectly functional. A light restoration will be enough to restore all its brilliance.

The photos are an integral part of the description; we invite you to examine them carefully. The shipment will be carefully prepared to ensure safe delivery.
