Description from the seller
Refined Baroque Style Wall Light with Mirror – Carved and Gilded Wood (1950s) A touch of timeless classic elegance for your home.
A charming two-light wall sconce (also known as a ventolina or girandole), a superb example of mid-20th-century decorative craft. The wooden structure is finely hand-carved with flowing motifs and a splendid leafy crest at the top, enhanced by a bright gold finish. In the center, the frame contains a shaped mirror of 18x13 cm, originally designed to amplify and reflect candlelight, creating a warm, welcoming, and evocative atmosphere in any room. The two curved arms support decorative lamp holders with wax-like covers that simulate melted candle wax from bygone times, perfectly merging the charm of the antique with the practicality of electric lighting.
