Description from the seller
Highly rare stackable French Delft Blue and White two-tier tulipière.
The selected region features a Delftware flower pyramid, an iconic multi-tiered ceramic vessel commonly known as a tulipière.
These highly intricate, multi-tiered ceramic vessels originated in the Netherlands during the late 17th century. They were popularized during the height of "tulip mania" when exotic tulips were considered ultimate symbols of wealth, status, and power.
Spouted watering holes: Each level features individual protruding spouts designed to hold and showcase single, expensive flower stems.
Ornate decoration: They are typically crafted from tin-glazed earthenware or porcelain, painted in iconic cobalt blue and white patterns. The bases often include architectural details or figural lion supports.
Made in France as marked underneath (attributed to the Desvres regino).
Height 41 inches (104.14 cm) by 12 inches wide base (30.48 cm).
It is stackable. Buyer is receiving a unit shipped into 2 boxes.
The 2 units can be seen in the photos.
Because of fragility of this vase and the size it's going to come into 2 big boxes which is going to affect the shipping cost. Please kindly see the shipping details before making any bid.
