AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique theater binoculars in lorgnette style with a folding handle, made in Paris by the renowned Colmont Frères between the late 19th and early 20th century (the full Belle Époque period).
Manufacturer: Colmont Frères Paris (brand stamped on the top bar of the frame).
Materials: Brass gilded construction decorated with gadrooning, barrel bodies and handle clad in splendid natural mother-of-pearl (nacre) with iridescence. Central focus ring also carved in mother-of-pearl.
Features: Model with an extendable side handle designed to support the binoculars with one hand during opera or theater performances.
Aesthetic-mechanical condition: In exceptional condition for its age. The mother-of-pearl is intact, shiny, and free of chips or cracks.
