Antique Colmont Frères Paris theatre lorgnette binoculars in gilded brass with a folding handle and mother‑of‑pearl details, model Binocolo da Teatro Lorgnette, Paris, France, dating to 1850–1900, very good condition and tested working.

Antique theater binoculars in lorgnette style with a folding handle, made in Paris by the renowned Colmont Frères between the late 19th and early 20th century (the full Belle Époque period).
Manufacturer: Colmont Frères Paris (brand stamped on the top bar of the frame).
Materials: Brass gilded construction decorated with gadrooning, barrel bodies and handle clad in splendid natural mother-of-pearl (nacre) with iridescence. Central focus ring also carved in mother-of-pearl.
Features: Model with an extendable side handle designed to support the binoculars with one hand during opera or theater performances.
Aesthetic-mechanical condition: In exceptional condition for its age. The mother-of-pearl is intact, shiny, and free of chips or cracks. The gilding of the brass preserves its original patina of the era with very slight and normal signs of aging. Focusing mechanism and the handle hinge are perfectly functional.
Optics: Lenses present and transparent, clear visibility.
