LUS Fortuna Pen Dispenser – Italy, 1950s/60s
Rare Italian fountain pen vending machine LUS Fortuna, dating from the 1950s-1960s.
A very beautiful commercial and advertising object from the period, made of metal, with a remarkable façade illustrated in yellow, red and blue, characteristic of post-war Italian graphic design.
The dispenser operated by inserting a 100 lira Italian coin, followed by pulling the lateral lever to dispense a LUS Fortuna pen. The façade retains its original illustrations and instructions, its coin mechanism, its lever, and its lock with its key.
The item is accompanied by 7 genuine 100 lira Italian coins from the period, nicely completing the set and illustrating its original operation.
Dimensions: 35 × 25 × 16 cm.
The piece shows a nice wear patina, with some marks, scratches and oxidation consistent with its age, visible in the photographs. The object appears particularly complete. Mechanical operation to be checked.
