Busy Bee - Grammofoon 78 rpm gramophone player

A rare and early Busy Bee gramophone is offered. Made in 1906 by the Hawthorne & Sheble Company and sold by The O’Niel-James Company from Chicago. Characteristic of these gramophones are the rectangular hole in the records and the protrusion on the turntable. These gramophones were sold relatively cheaply, but users could, because of the special turntable, only play records of the Busy Bee brand. Often the turntables were adjusted so that also normal 78 rpm records could be played. This is also the case with this model. So in addition to Busy Bee records, the normal 78 rpm records can be played as well. This gramophone plays nicely. 1 original Busy Bee record and a few standard 78 rpm records are included, as well as a box of needles. The wooden cabinet with Busy Bee logo measures 30 x 30 x 15 cm. The originally red-painted horn has a length of 65 cm and a diameter of 58 cm. This is a beautiful and rare gramophone.
