Lisieux - Carafe (2) - Ceramic, Glass

A striking pair of vintage decorative pitchers, beautifully contrasting in material, texture and colour, and united by their elegant sculptural silhouettes.
The larger pitcher is a French ceramic piece marked “Lisieux” on the underside, indicating production in Lisieux, Normandy, France. It features a dramatic elongated spout, open loop handle and finely ribbed body, enhanced by a beautiful grey-blue and ivory glazed finish with subtle variations in tone.
The second pitcher is crafted from glass with a warm bronze/copper toned. Its sleek elongated body, high spout and integrated handle create an almost architectural silhouette. The exact manufacturer remains unidentified.
Together, the two vessels form a particularly sophisticated decorative ensemble, combining the artisanal character of French glazed ceramic with the smooth, luminous appearance of metallic glass.
Both pieces are preserved in good vintage condition, with some traces of age and previous use consistent with their vintage character. Please refer carefully to the photographs for details.
