Description from the seller
Vintage Chrome Folding Step Stool and Side Table, 1960s
A practical 1960s household design combining a compact side table with an integrated two-step folding stool. The chrome-plated tubular steel frame, silver-grey laminate top and black ribbed steps give the piece a characteristic mid-century utilitarian appearance.
Dating to the 1960s, this type of convertible furniture was designed for kitchens and compact domestic interiors, where efficient use of space was an important part of post-war furniture design. The steps fold neatly beneath the tabletop, reducing the depth from approximately 70 cm when open to 38.5 cm when folded.
The chrome frame remains visually attractive with age-consistent surface traces, while the laminate tabletop and black steps retain their distinctive period appearance. The folding construction is complete and functional. It will be shipped exactly as shown in the photographs, so please examine all images carefully.
Dimensions: height 64 cm, width 32 cm, depth approximately 70 cm open and 38.5 cm folded.
