Description from the seller
AMS German Mechanical Pendulum Wall Clock with Wooden Case and Brass Details, 1970s
A substantial 1970s mechanical wall clock by AMS, combining traditional German clockmaking with a warm wooden case, brass-toned fittings, Roman numerals and a visible pendulum. Its architectural arched form and balanced proportions make it particularly suitable for collectors of mechanical clocks and for classic or eclectic interiors.
The clock features a traditional mechanical movement with two winding apertures, a Roman-numeral dial, black hands, brass-toned bezel, glazed wooden case and decorative pendulum. The original winding key shown in the photographs is included.
The clock was tested continuously for approximately one week and operated correctly throughout the test period. The case, dial, glazing, pendulum and metal fittings retain an attractive period appearance with natural traces consistent with age and use. It will be shipped exactly as shown in the photographs, so please examine all images carefully.
The reverse carries a label from Aerden B.V.B.A., Essen, Belgium, a retailer dealing in watches, jewellery and optical goods, together with the handwritten date 28-3-97. This 1997 notation is consistent with a later inspection, servicing or retail-history record and forms an interesting part of the clock’s documented history.
Dimensions: approximately 56 cm high × 22 cm wide × 15 cm deep
Estimated weight: approximately 4–5 kg
