A striking and unusual doll from Germany, 1960s. Her expressive face with large inset eyes, delicate eyelashes, softly painted features and a slightly open mouth is inspired by antique German bisque dolls, including the classic Armand Marseille style.
She wears a charming traditional German costume consisting of a vivid red full-length skirt, bonnet, shawl, decorative blouse, stockings and black shoes. Standing 60 cm tall, she is an impressive display piece with a distinctive antique character.
She remains in good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use.
