Elegant cut crystal centerpiece with a solid 800 silver base, Italian-made in Florence, dating to the 1960s–1970s, in excellent overall condition.
Description from the seller
Elegant centerpiece / fruit bowl in frosted crystal with a base in 800 silver, of Italian production, attributable to Florentine craftsmanship.
Era
Second half of the 20th century, presumably 1960s–1980s. The hallmark with star + number + provincial code “FI” (Florence) is typical of the Italian system introduced after 1968, identifying the silversmith and the production province.
Provenienza
Italian production – Florence (FI), an important historic center of artistic silverware.
Punzonatura
Title: 800 (silver 80%)
Mark: star + identifying number (334) + FI
This system certifies both the silver purity and the registered silversmith.
Materiali
Bowl: frosted and incised crystal
Base: solid 800 silver (likely a hollow structure with an internal core, typical Italian production)
Tecniche di lavorazione
Crystal worked with cuts in geometric and floral motifs (classic “molato” style)
Sculpted profile with wavy edge
Base in silver produced by:
- casting and turning
- mirror polishing
- possible manual finishing
The contrast between the transparency of the crystal and the brilliance of the silver gives great elegance and luminosity.

Length: 33 cm
Width: 15 cm
Height: 12 cm
Stile
Classic Italian tableware, with echoes of mid-century elegant taste, suitable both as a fruit bowl and as a decorative element.
