Collector’s piece: An exceptional 18-piece solid silver table service (Minerve 1st Title).

I am offering for sale a ensemble of French silverware from the late 19th century, believed to have been crafted by a prestigious Paris house (master’s mark LB with scales, active from 1893).

This set stands out for its finely wrought foliate Rocaille decoration and an unusually deep engraving. Unlike standard productions of the era, this is a special commission known as the "Heavy Model", delivering exceptional density and a superb hand feel (85 g for a single fork).

6 Large table spoons: ~79 g each
6 Coffee/Dessert spoons: ~26 g each

Characteristics & Condition:
Pendants/marks: Head of Minerva 1st Title (925/1000) and Master Mark Léon Berchot clearly legible on every piece.

Monogram: Single letter "G" finely calligraphed in an English style. The advantage of a single initial makes this set easy to claim for a family or as a personalized gift (G as in Gabriel, Guillaume, Garnier, Girard, etc.) or even "God" or "Gnosis" for a religious style.

Condition: Superb. Fork tines are long (not worn), bowls in perfect condition. The silver patina beautifully brings out the Baroque decoration.
