AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Old Pathé Baby projector, for 9.5mm films, manufactured in France, in 1929 (110v). The projector comes accompanied by the Super Pathé-Baby accessories (with 110v motor), to project films on larger reels and it is in good condition, considering that it is almost 100 years old (the lamp is not original). It works well as we can see in the following video:

The projector comes in a set with the following items:

- 1 Lovely black wooden case, measuring 52cm x 52cm x 17cm;
- 1 Set of accessories to project films on larger reels;
- 1 Rare Pathéscope 9.5mm film, Charlie Chaplin "Easy Street", from 1917;
- 1 Empty reel to collect 9.5mm films;
- 1 Charlie Chaplin poster, 69cm x 52cm, in plastic (not antique);
- 1 Power cable.

Pathé-Baby is an amateur cinema system intended for the general public, created by Charles Pathé and released in 1922. The system used a 9.5 mm wide film with central perforations and was the smallest format that existed at that time. The Pathé-Baby was initially a small hand-cranked projector, capable of projecting small films contained in a metal cartridge, with a capacity for less than a dozen meters of non-flammable film.
To sell and distribute the films produced in its studios, Pathé asked the company Continsouza to develop an economical, family-friendly, easy-to-use projector, within the scope of projecting greatly reduced versions of its films. In Christmas 1922, several Pathé-Baby projectors were placed on the market.

This set weighs 8.5 kg and is a great addition to any collection of old cinema or to decorate a space.
