Jenny Holzer - Truisms - 1984

This original, rare sticker sheet with 'Truisms' by Jenny Holzer dates from the group exhibition 'Ein anderes Klima' ('A Different Climate') in 1984 at the Städtische Kunsthalle, Düsseldorf. This special sticker edition is printed in metallic silver and black, and contains nine early versions of the 'Truisms' in German. The dimensions of the sticker sheet are 19.1 cm x 22.9 cm.

Her works range from now-iconic, short slogans such as ‘Abuse of power comes as no surprise’, ‘The beginning of the war will be secret’ and ‘Protect me from what I want’ to extended texts and series, including the ‘Truisms’, ‘Survival Series’ and ‘Inflammatory Essays’.}
