This unique light object BLACK - "Bloom II" was designed in a Berlin design studio and 3D-printed using a computational process.
The pendant lamp consists of a matte, black-colored biopolymer based on corn starch and is biologically degradable / environmentally friendly according to DIN EN ISO 14588. The material is sturdy, waterproof, and easy to clean.
Each 3-D print has a necessary, fine and visible seam that holds the object together.
The design casts a shadow from bottom to top, thus creating a play of color (see images).
