Original limited-edition publication accompanying Andy Warhol’s celebrated Reigning Queens series, published in Amsterdam in 1985 by George C.P. Mulder.

This is individually numbered copy 1649 of an edition of only 5,000 copies, published during Andy Warhol’s lifetime, two years before his death.

The publication contains 16 full-page colour reproductions from Warhol’s Reigning Queens series, comprising four portraits each of:

* Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom
* Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands
* Queen Margrethe II of Denmark
* Queen Ntombi of Swaziland

The elegant white cover is blind-embossed with the four royal coats of arms.

The title page carries the characteristic printed/facsimile Andy Warhol signature in purple. This is part of the original publication and is not presented here as a hand-signed autograph.

Condition: Good to very good vintage condition. The interior and colour reproductions are clean and bright. The white exterior shows some light age-related handling, minor marks and slight discolouration, as visible in the photographs.
