Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Lot of three original FIAT publications from 1983 featuring the Uno, Argenta and Regata models, authentic documents in good condition.
Description from the seller
Lotto composed of three original FIAT publications from 1983, coming from a former official FIAT dealer.
The lot documents three different communication tools used by the House in the early 1980s: a launch brochure intended for the public, a rare confidential document for the sales network, and a commercial leaflet.
The collection represents a meaningful testimony of FIAT's communication in one of the most important periods of its industrial history, coinciding with the launch of the Fiat Uno and the renewal of the entire range.
1. FIAT UNO
Original color brochure.
Closed format: 21 × 29.7 cm
24 pages
Printed 2/1983
It is the most representative document of the lot.
The brochure dates from 1983, the year of the Fiat Uno launch, presented in January of the same year and destined to become one of FIAT's most important cars, later earning the prestigious title of "Car of the Year 1984".
The printing date (02/1983) places this publication in the very early phase of commercialization, making it particularly interesting for collectors compared to later reprints.
An additional element of interest is the back of the brochure, where the famous Giorgio Forattini illustrations are reproduced, used in the Uno launch advertising campaign, today considered one of FIAT's most iconic communication campaigns of the Eighties.
2. FIAT NUOVA ARGENTA
Seller’s Notebook – Confidential
Closed format: 21 × 29.7 cm
24 pages + central 4-panel fold-out insert (28 pages total)
Printed 5/1983
It is probably the rarest publication in the lot.
It is not a normal commercial brochure, but an internal document reserved exclusively for FIAT’s sales network, as clearly stated on the cover.
Contains information for salespeople, commercial strategies, sales arguments, and numerous technical comparisons with the main competing cars of the era (including Ford Sierra, Alfa Romeo Alfetta, Volvo 240 and Opel Rekord), offering an interesting testimony of the marketing techniques adopted by FIAT in the early Eighties.
This type of documentation, not intended for the public, is generally much less common than brochures distributed at dealerships.
3. FIAT REGATA
Original folded brochure.
Closed format: 21 × 29.7 cm
8 pages
Printed 8/1983
Illustrated folded leaflet dedicated to the Fiat Regata range, with official photographs, description of available versions, technical specifications and main equipment.
Although the document is the most traditional of the lot, it coherently completes FIAT’s 1983 advertising material.
Conditions
The three publications are in generally good condition, with slight signs of aging and normal handling.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and accurately document the state of preservation.
