Specimen of hematite quartz characterized by rich crystallization composed of numerous prismatic crystals of different sizes, some of which reach particularly evident dimensions and give the sample a very articulated structure.
The coloration ranges from reddish-brown to orange, with varying intensity due to the presence of iron oxides. Numerous crystals show well-defined terminations and good luster, while the overlapped and interwoven arrangement of the different growths creates a three-dimensional whole with a strong visual impact.
The specimen is crystallized also on the back, where there are large prismatic crystals and further groups of smaller crystals. Some breakages and nicks are visible on the terminations and along some crystals, clearly documented in the photographs.
