Description from the seller

General presentation
This Porsche-Diesel agricultural tractor type Junior L, manufactured by Porsche-Diesel-Motorenbau GmbH in Friedrichshafen (Germany), dates from 1959, the year when the Junior range benefited from a power upgrade to 15 hp.
It is an emblematic model in Porsche’s history, whose air-cooled single-cylinder diesel engine long equipped European farms before production stopped in 1963.

Bodywork and paint
Antique tractor (1959) with a patina consistent with its age: original red paint partly worn, signs of use, light rust and scratches visible on the bodywork and wings, with no major structural damage.
No major body repairs or known accidents to report. Overall condition rated as average to good considering the 67 years of the vehicle.

Technical condition
Four-stroke single-cylinder diesel engine, 822 cm³ (bore 95 mm, stroke 116 mm), 15 hp SAE for a fiscal power of 3 HP, nominal speed 2,000 rpm.
Original gearbox and clutch, proper operation at starting warm and cold; brakes and tires in good condition.
Unladen weight of 750 kg with a total permissible gross weight up to 1,095 kg.

Dimensions and characteristics
Wheelbase of 1,838 mm, overall length 2,840 mm, width 1,464 mm, height 1,535 mm, ground clearance 330 mm. Two seats (including driver), no cab; trailer towing capacity of 6,000 kg subject to compliance with the AM prescriptions of 15.7.1954.

Interior condition
Typical retro driving position of the era, without a cab or complex upholstery: driver’s seat, simplified dashboard with original instrumentation. Absence of modern electrical components, in line with the model’s original design.

Documentation
The lot is accompanied by an original descriptive notice from the Ph. Goetzmann Workshops (Lingolsheim, Bas-Rhin), establishing the manufacturer characteristics of the Porsche-Diesel Junior L tractor. This documentary piece attests to the model’s authenticity and its factory specifications. (see image)

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
