Rollei rolleiflex 2.8E Twin lens reflex camera (TLR)

The Rolleiflex Wide, also known as the Wide-Angle Rolleiflex, is a 6×6 cm twin-lens reflex camera (TLR) that uses 120 roll film (12 exposures with model 1 or 24 with model 2 using 220 film). The camera is equipped with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 55 mm f/4 taking lens and a Heidosmat 55 mm f/4 viewing lens, which provides a wide field of view of about 71° — significantly wider than the standard 80 mm lens of most Rolleiflex models. The Synchro-Compur MXV central shutter offers shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/500 s plus B, with both M- and X-flash synchronization. The minimum focusing distance is about 0.6 meters (2 feet). Both lenses use the Bayonet IV mount for filters and accessories. The camera measures about 128 × 113 × 152 mm and weighs around 1355 grams. Production ran from 1961 to 1967 (in two versions, the second of which also supported 220-film) and only about 3,900 units were made, making this model particularly rare. Thanks to the wide-angle lens and high-quality finish, the Rolleiflex Wide is highly valued by collectors and landscape photographers.
