Brutalist oak three-piece nesting table set from Europe, dating to the 1960s–1970s, with small table at 27.5 × 30 × 30 cm, medium at 32 × 44.5 × 30 cm and large at 36 × 59.5 × 30 cm, in good condition with minor signs of aging and blemishes.
Description from the seller
Brutalist Oak Nesting Tables, Three-Piece Architectural Set, 1970s
A substantial three-piece nesting table set crafted in oak, with thick rectangular tops, solid square-section legs and strongly expressed wood grain. The restrained construction, robust proportions and emphasis on natural material give the set a distinctly Brutalist character, making it particularly appropriate for a Brutalist interior collection.
The graduated format combines compact storage with three useful table sizes. Particularly notable is the largest table, measuring 59.5 cm across. This is a generous width for a three-piece nesting set and gives the largest piece enough visual and functional presence to serve independently as a substantial side table or compact low table.
The set remains in good vintage condition with an attractive aged surface, defined grain and natural traces associated with use. The tables appear structurally solid and stable. It will be shipped exactly as shown in the photographs, so please examine all images carefully.
The design reflects several qualities associated with Brutalist furniture of the 1960s and 1970s: substantial construction, direct geometry, visible material character and limited decorative intervention. Rather than relying on ornament, the visual impact comes from the thickness of the tops, the repeated vertical legs and the strong contrast between the simple forms and expressive oak grain.
Dimensions:
Small: Height 27.5 cm, Width 30 cm, Depth 30 cm
Medium: Height 32 cm, Width 44.5 cm, Depth 30 cm
Large: Height 36 cm, Width 59.5 cm, Depth 30 cm
