1980 Volkswagen T3 Westfalia Camper with a 2.0 L air‑cooled engine, 69 hp, manual transmission, yellow, 152,750 miles, located in the Netherlands with a US title, matching numbers and colours, full service history, no CoC and invalid MOT.
Description from the seller
GENERAL:
The Volkswagen T3 Westfalia Camper is an iconic classic among campers. This 1980 model is equipped with a four-cylinder 2.0 L air-cooled boxer engine and a manual transmission.
The camper has been very well maintained since new and comes with all manuals and documentation. A particularly well-documented and honest example.
BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:
The body is original and rust-free. The underside is clean and dry, indicating a well-preserved vehicle. The paint has been renewed by us (due to fading from the Arizona sun). Photos before and during the painting process are available.
MECHANICS:
This camper was imported from the United States (Arizona) and a rebuilt engine was installed a few years ago (invoices available).
Technically a lot has been renewed, e.g. fuel tank, fuel pump and filters. The engine runs well, the gearbox shifts as it should, and the camper drives nicely.
The kitchen facilities operate as expected: the fridge and the cooking stove run on gas and 12 V, and there is a 110 V outlet. (For use in Europe, an inverter will need to be installed for the latter.) We also advise that, for safety, this kitchen installation receive a service check (due to the age of various age-related materials, etc.).
INTERIOR:
The interior is original and in very neat and well-kept condition. The tent fabric has been recently renewed.
There is a small crack in the gauge glass (see photo).
DOCUMENTS:
The camper comes with a US title and all import documents. (It is a VAT vehicle)
PICK-UP:
The vehicle can be viewed and possibly picked up in Damwald. Transport across Europe can be arranged by agreement. Transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
OTHER INFORMATION:
All import duties and VAT have been paid.
Due to its age (older than 1996), no CoC document is required for registration within Europe.
This is a 46+ year-old camper, which has hardly been used in recent years, meaning there may always be minor points for improvement or signs of use. A viewing is therefore recommended for a good impression of the condition.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
