Vintage Essolube Motor Oil HD 40 can, produced for Esso Standard Italiana, an interesting testament to 20th-century automotive advertising graphics and products.
Made in lithographed metal, it features the characteristic graphic in red, cream, and blue, with the inscriptions "Essolube Motor Oil – HD 40" and the Esso and Essolube logos on the various sides.
The top is equipped with a metal carrying handle and retains the Esso-branded screw cap, a detail particularly interesting from a collectible point of view.
The can preserves a strong patina of time that enhances its industrial, lived-in appearance. Suitable for collections devoted to Esso, automobilia, petroliana and vintage advertising, or as a decorative element for garages, workshops and industrial settings.
