Mounted by two armed riders — spears and shield — the stylized horse is clad in a richly ornate attire. Made in heavy cast iron for its size, this beautiful Lost-Wax sculpture is richly patinated and shows significant oxidation. While typical examples of this form are rather small (between 5 and 7.6 cm in height), this version is exceptionally large and detailed.
